On Wednesday, do not expect Goo Goo Dolls and Matchbox Twenty Jam was more news. Here is the abstract: Thanks to the Goo Goo Dolls and Matchbox Twenty, fans are getting more for their money this tour of the summer season. Or should we say, through its agents.
Goo Goo Dolls bassist Robby Takac said that the joint tour between the two bands was created by the above. “I think the agents looked and said, ‘?! Why have we not already this makes sense, we must do this,'” he said with a laugh.
Although both bands have been around since the 90s, Johnny Reznick said the two have rarely crossed paths, but was more than happy to team up with Rob Thomas and the boys for a summer tour.
“In the late ’90s was probably when both of our bands were at their most popular,” he said. “You know, we’re both playing records and are still on the radio … It’s so rare to see any band that has released ten studio albums [and] blessed for 16 years to really have a real career and make the living with it.”
As to whether the Goo Goo Dolls, whose new album coming out magnetic June 11, Matchbox Twenty jams, and fans should not hold their collective breath.
